We're still in Quebec and continue to enjoy the city. It's been a long weekend with Canada Day yesterday, and the legal holiday today. Good food, good company, and good fireworks.
Tomorrow is forage day. We need to stock up at the grocery store, and I'm on a mission to find parts to fix or replace our shore power cord. We returned to the boat Saturday to find the breakers tripped. I reset them and there was a puff of smoke from the cable end and the breakers tripped again. It turns out the plug on the end of our cable had developed an internal short. A subsequent autopsy confirmed the cause. We have a second power inlet in the bow and a spare power cord, but it wouldn't reach with us stern in at the slip, so we spun around and are now bow in and have power again, but I really need to get the other cord working since that's the one we use 99% of the time.
Wednesday morning at 7:00 we depart and start working our way out to Tadoussac to explore the Saguanay Fiord and to check out the whales!
